About the role
Join our Technical Services team to support the hardware that keeps customer operations moving. This role combines workshop diagnosis, field visits and clear customer communication across barcode printers, RFID equipment, scanners and related peripherals. You will own issues through resolution and document work so recurring problems can be prevented.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test and maintain barcode printers, scanners, RFID devices and POS peripherals.
- Diagnose hardware, connectivity, print-quality and media-related issues at customer sites and remotely.
- Perform preventive maintenance and recommend parts, consumables or configuration changes when needed.
- Record service findings, actions taken and parts used for each support case.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on escalations, warranty cases and replacement planning.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on field service or technical support experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and basic Windows driver issues.
- Professional customer communication and willingness to travel across Bengaluru and nearby locations.
- Organised approach to service documentation and follow-up.
Nice to have
- Experience with Zebra, TSC, Honeywell, SATO, HPRT or similar AIDC equipment.
- Basic knowledge of label design software, printer languages or RFID encoding.
